Sheet Metal Worker

1st/2nd Sheetmetal Tradesperson

A position has become available for a 1st/2nd class sheet metal fabricator.

This is a varied role requiring cutting, folding, welding, and assembly of cabinets. You will need to be trade qualified and have actual hands-on experience preferably within a heat pump or air-conditioning manufacturing environment. The ability to understand and read technical drawings, and have a high degree of attention to detail is a must.

Essential Requirements are:

Trade Qualifications
At least 4yrs experience
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, and the ability to liaise with staff on all levels.
Ability to follow processes and systems.
Flexible can-do attitude.
Current NSW Drivers License.
White Card or willingness to get one.
Demonstrated experience in understanding technical drawings.
A forklift license will be seen as highly favorable.
The ability to design or use a CAD-type package will also be considered highly but not required.

Refrigeration & HVAC Technician

Job Opportunity: Refrigeration & HVAC Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration, HVAC, or Heat Pump Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in heat pump and chiller systems, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of equipment. An integral part of the role is the production of heat pumps and chillers will also be required as part of this role.

Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections and assessments to identify refrigeration system issues and malfunctions.
Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks on a variety of heat pump and chiller equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components of refrigeration systems.
Install new heat pump and chiller units and systems as required.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance and repair tasks.
Document all work performed, including parts used and time spent, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
When required also participate in the construction of heat pumps and chillers.
General housekeeping and cleaning as required
General stock levels monitoring etc.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Refrigeration Technician.
We are open to 3rd/4th Year apprentices.
Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and functions.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing refrigeration-related malfunctions.
Familiarity with various tools, equipment, and testing devices used in refrigeration maintenance and repair.
Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and ability to read schematics and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Valid refrigeration technician certification
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
An Australian driver’s license is required.
White Card and ARC Lincse are a must.
A forklift license will be considered highly.
