Indoor swimming pools often struggle with humidity, fogging, dripping windows and roofs and mould build up.
To address these issues, many pools rely on pool heating, air conditioning, ventilation, circulation fans and dehumidification.
Each of these issues requires a different piece of equipment. Each comes with its own expense and associated running costs. Dependent on the size of the pool and room, these pieces of equipment can be very expensive to fully address all the issues.
Toyesi’s heat pump innovations R&D team looked at this issue and came up with the best bang for buck solution in a single system.
The PCVER was Born
We realised that addressing these issues in an affordable way would require real innovative thinking, and an off the shelf product just does not have the functionality required.
From building heat pumps for 30 years Toyesi has the Tacit knowledge of what heat pump technology was capable of doing.

To Simplify the process:
- Cooling – We can then condition the space by cooling to a room for human comfort.
- Ventilation – We utilise the air circulation capability of the heat pump fans to create airflow and circulation within the pool room space.
- Dehumidification – Heat pumps remove moisture from the air during the heat pump process providing a dehumidification cycle.
- Energy Recovery – Draws waste heat from the pool room space and returns it to the pool where it belongs.

Aquaculture & Aquatic Ventures
Heat Pump Innovations for Aquaculture must be able to handle Fresh & Saltwater Ventures
Many aquaculture companies utilise low cost off the shelf swimming pool heat pumps for their tank heating. Some of these off the shelf systems can also be set in the chill mode for tank cooling. On the surface, this appears a great cost-saving method.
In the heating mode, during very warm weather these systems often do not prevent the tanks from overheating, or in the chilling mode in cold weather prevent the tanks from getting overly cold.
Our standard Aquaculture Heat pumps are true reverse cycle and work on maintaining a temperature dead band and will hold tank temperature all year round.
But this is not where Toyesi Heat Pump Innovations stop for Aquaculture.
The PCVER system is not just for swimming pools, as a lot of aquaculture ventures are indoors and handle similar humidity and heating issues. However, aquaculture projects often require smarter smart systems as they have variable heating and cooling requirements.
The PCVER is designed for mostly pool heating only. To allow for the heating and cooling requirements of aquaculture we incorporate Toyesi’s Transthermal Smart Technology. Allowing for tank cooling, heating, room cooling or heating with an emergency backup system.

Horticulture & Protected Crops
From Hydroponics to Greenhouse Temperature Control
Horticulture just like aquaculture can utilise a lot of swimming pool technologies from heat pumps to PCVER systems, however have their own unique problems and system requirements.
Toyesi realised that horticulture has been around for hundreds of years with some very set principles and practices. So we decided that what we can offer is an alternative, or an add on solution to reduce running costs.
Solutions already exist for horticulture for heating, cooling, ventilation of greenhouses, so how can a heat pump help.
- Greenhouses use huge quantities of gas to heat the enclosures. Heat pumps offer the same or similar heating capability but at 50% to 70% less running costs to gas or bottled gas.
- Greenhouses normally vent excess or waste heat during the day and then use gas heating at night. Toyesi Innovative heat pump systems can be designed to capture this waste heat and store it for radiant heating at night. Significantly reducing running costs.
- We can also use the PCVER system to reduce or control greenhouse temperature and humidity levels. Or Couple it with our Smart Transthermal System to also drive existing misting systems for true humidity control.
