- Gas boilers are very good at raising water temperature. Where heat pumps are great at maintaining temperature.
- You may have to reassess your hot water process and your process may have to change change. Often storage tanks or mixing tanks are needed with heat pumps.
- Heat pumps can take up a lot more space.
- Heat pumps are typically dearer than a gas system to buy and install.
- Heat pumps usually are installed outdoors. However, Plant room models are available from Toyesi.
- However, even with these additional costs heat pumps can pay for themselves in 2 to 5 years due to the running cost savings.
